Job Title: Principal Engineer (Electrical Engineering)

Salary: £45,000+ depending on experience

What you'll be doing:

Supporting the Senior Engineering Manager in reviewing and setting standards relating to Electrical Infrastructure modifications and upgradesWorking with the team to assess and manage new LV/HV infrastructure requirements and deliverables in support of the business, with the opportunity to get involved with supporting control systems reviewInput into problem solving, engineering issues relating to the subject matterSupporting the Site Engineering team as an SME at requirements capture stage and design reviewsInput into and management of site electrical processes/Operating Instructions and Topic ManualsThe role involves viewing and supporting equipment and infrastructure on the Barrow Estate

Your skills and experiences:

Degree in Electrical Engineering subjectInterest or bias in Electrical power distribution systems LV/HV (upto and including 11kV) and/or Control systems (PLCs/Building Management Systems)CEng or ability to attain

The Specialist Engineering Electrical team:

The Site Specialist Engineering Electrical team provide specialist support to the business with respect to electrical standards, the team support a wide range of electrical disciplines with opportunities to learn and develop in LV, HV, C&I and Communications, each day varies with the chance to problem solve and drive innovative solutions from your experiences. As the Barrow site infrastructure grows you can be a play a part in the development of new facilities and help drive improvements in aging and existing electrical installations. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
