What is the opportunity?

It's an exciting time at BOI UK, we are currently migrating and updating our data solution as part of our strategic objective to drive the business to a data-led culture through analytics. You will work alongside our Data team as we continue to develop and maintain a robust data platform; creating new, impactful reporting with clear insights, backed up by quality data

In this role, you will:
  • Refine data and reporting requirements, clarifying details and capture any relevant requirements, non-functional requirements, business rules, data validation rules, identify edge cases, dependencies and option.
  • Raises issues to Data Delivery Lead that need a decision or unblocking in some way
  • Write and refine stories, elicit acceptance criteria for relevant scenarios/use cases; facilitate the collection of solution options
  • Connect with senior people in organisations to find out what they hope to achieve
  • Update of RADAR for key issues and events impacted the UK Data team
  • Support the production of key artefacts
What will make you stand out?

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role with agile development methodologies and product management tools such as Jira and Confluence. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive product decisions.

Demonstrable experience with data analysis and experience with SQL and/or python would be considered a plus and use of Tableau, python and an understanding of ETL processes would be preferred.

Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not vital in order to apply for this role;

  • Supporting Data Migration Tasks
  • Knowledge of accessing or modifying SSIS packages
  • Production of documentation (data dictionaries, source to target mapping, UAT)
Essential Qualifications

Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, business management, or a related field.

The Data, Digital & Strategic Reporting function within Bank of Ireland UK provides strategic planning and delivery of business optimisation, innovation and analytics. These enable the Bank to serve our customers brilliantly, transform our business and deliver sustainable profitability.

This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the UK with the primary office location being London, Belfast or Bristol. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - frequency to be determined by the line manager.

Please note you must live in the jurisdiction for the business to which you are contracted.
