Job Description

What will you be doing?

As a Design Engineer, you will join Solihullteam to support our activities within the automotivesector.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Utilize CAD (preferably CREO) to create and revise technical drawings.Make informed decisions on tolerancing, clearances, and material selection to optimize design.Ensure strict adherence to project timelines for the timely release of component designs.Adhere to quality management procedures to align with industry standards.Perform comprehensive analyses including DFA, DFM, DFMEA, CFD, and CAE to enhance design reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

Degree in Engineering or a related field.Proficiency in CAD software, with a preference for CREO.Confidence in defining datums and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Preferable experience with Windchill PLM software.A solid understanding of materials and modern manufacturing processes, including carbon fiber technologies and injection molding.
