About the role: As an EYFS teacher your primary objective will be to nurture children's abilities, knowledge and social skills. The safety of children is also critical in this role. As an EYFS teacher you will work closely with social workers to ensure that the children are protected. The role has a significant impact on all the children, helping them to enjoy learning and gets them ready for the next phase of their life - a true vocation

About the School: The Ofsted 'Good' rated school based in Potters Bar prides itself in being a thriving, friendly and ambitious school focusing on the encouragement of all the children to be the very best they can be and fulfill an excellent start to their educational journey. The classes benefit from being small in size (20 children), allowing for students to connect more closely to their peers and become more confident and comfortable - leading to increased participation. Furthermore, the school has benefitted recently from new SLT who are pumping in new positive ideas

The ideal EYFS Teacher will have:

  • Creativity in finding ways to teach through an interactive approach
  • A blend of authoritativeness and patience
  • A thorough understanding of different pedagogical approaches of learning
  • An ability to inspire and enthuse children
  • An energetic, resourceful and naturally caring nature
  • Good listening and tremendous communication skills
  • Stamina and an ability to keep up with children's energy levels
  • A good sense of humour
  • Able to commute to Potters Bar
  • Have a QTS

Position: EYFS Teacher

Location: Potters Bar

Start Date: 01/09/2024

Employment Type: Part-time (1 day a week)

Opportunities: Long-term/ permanent

Salary: 160 - 210 per day
