The Service holder ensures that the pipelines system is properly designed, integrating various aspects which include specific engineering features like seismic & strain-based design, pipelines metallurgy, HSE and constructability (including installation strategy). It focuses on the onshore part. The Service holder ensures interfacing with all required other Project engineering disciplines and to ensure consistency with the overall upstream engineering work. The Service holder participates as required to technical interfacing with other internal entities and external entities (e.g. Partners). He/she will be also point of contact for interface with partners related to battery limits with Partners facilities.

Specific responsibilities during pipeline FEED Phase:
  • The Service holder supervises and coordinate the pipelines engineering related activities performed by FEED Contractors for the Onshore Pipelines Packages (WP2).
  • The Service holder provides expertise with regards to his discipline.
  • The Service holder provides support to challenge the FEED contractors and promote alternatives design to optimize the cost, work, and schedule.
  • The Service holder timely review and comment FEED engineering documents and consolidate comments related to pipelines deliverables; liaise with other engineering specialist(s) (for ex. Corrosion, Geotechnical), and entity (Operations, HSE…) as required. It will focus on all engineering documents related to the onshore part.
  • The Service holder ensures that the engineering activities related to the onshore pipelines matters are performed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, codes (DNV), and standards (standards calling Australian standards), contextualized GS, with required level of quality, high HSE Standards, with respect of the Project highly environmentally sensitive environment, and within the agreed time schedule and cost.
  • The Service holder prepares for issue the derogation requests to GS EP PLR, follow up the instruction from company’s Head Office experts to ensure timely answer.
  • The Service holder contributes to the studies leading to technical decision making and issue recommendation.
  • The Service holder contributes to the LLI procurement CFT documents preparation ensuring coordination with the Company Procurement Team,
  • The Service holder contributes to the EPC CFT documents preparation ensuring coordination with the Project management Team, The Service holder supports the preparation and participate to Project technical reviews, provides answers, and ensure timely implementation of the findings.
  • The Service holder ensures proper reporting, highlight critical issues, and propose remedial actions.
    Specific responsibilities during pipeline EPC Phase:
    • The Service holder supervises the onshore pipelines detailed engineering related activities performed by the EPC Contractors (Offshore) All the technical responsibilities applied during the FEED phase are still applicable for the EPC Phase.
    • The Service holder assists the LLI procurement, inspection and tests during fabrication activities related to onshore items. The Service holder contributes and represents the Company for certification process.
    • The Service holder will ensure logistics & transportation achievement.
    • The Service holder assists the Construction supervision team for their activities (such as procedures review) and the preparation of the pre-commissioning activities related to onshore pipelines scope.
    • The Service holder anticipates and facilitate all interfaces with the other packages related to the roads, well pads, CPF construction or drilling activities. Same as any other external entity activities that may interfering with the pipeline installation (e.g., mining). The Service holder assists the Commissioning team for the preparation of the commissioning and start-up.
    • The Service holder will also liaise with Field operation team to assist for the issuance of the operating procedures.Qualifications and Experience required:
      Professional Experience (years): 15+ years in Oil and Gas projects
      Experience in similar position (years): 10+ years at same or equivalent position with managerial responsibilities
      Main technical skills: Pipeline design (mastery); Engineering management (practical); Pipeline onshore installation (practical); Commissioning (practical)
