Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join us at teach195. in supporting schools in Didsbury and surrounding areas. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the learning off pupils in the absence of regular teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision of Learning: Facilitate learning of classes by delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring that pupils remain on task and engaged with their work.

Classroom Management: Manage the classroom environment effectively, to produce an atmosphere which allows all pupils to learn.

Behaviour Management: Uphold school policies and procedures regarding student behaviour, intervening where necessary to maintain discipline and promote a respectful learning environment.

Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with all staff, providing feedback on student progress and any issues arising during lessons.

Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility in covering a variety of subjects, following provided lesson plans and adjusting teaching methods to meet the needs of different classes.

Assessment Support: Assist in the administration and supervision of assessments, exams, and other educational activities as directed by teaching staff.

Safeguarding: Ensuring that any safeguarding issues are reported accurately and promptly to the correct individual within the school setting.
Requirements:

A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
Previous experience working in a UK secondary setting is essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and maintain discipline.
Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups.
A passion for education and supporting the learning journey of students.
Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate - or a willingness to process through teach195.
