Job purpose

As a Tutor specialising in core subjects for primary and secondary age pupils, your primary purpose is to provide personalised academic support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. This role is crucial in helping students develop a strong foundation in key subjects, laying the groundwork for their academic success. The role of a tutor is to provide academic support and guidance to students in a one-on-one or small-group setting. Tutors help reinforce classroom learning, address individual learning needs, and enhance overall academic performance. Main duties and responsibilities

Design and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the individual needs and learning styles of the student.

Deliver instruction in core subjects such as Mathematics, English and Science ensuring alignment with the relevant curriculum standards.

Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and learning gaps.

Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions to address specific academic challenges and reinforce key concepts.

Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions and seek clarification

Regularly assess and track students' progress to gauge the effectiveness of interventions.

Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to communicate progress and discuss strategies for improvement

Develop and curate educational materials, resources, and tools to enhance the learning experience
