EMBS Engineering is working with a prestigious precision engineering client, located in Redditch who are looking to recruit a Toolmaker on a permanent basis.

EMBS Engineering are currently seeking a Toolmaker to join our client's engineering team on a permanent basis.

The main responsibilities within the role will be to manufacture press tools, jigs and fixtures, carry out repairs and maintenance of press tools, jigs, fixtures and gauges as well as support production machining requirements.
As a Toolmaker, you will assist with New Product Introduction & Development Processes related to tooling design and manufacturing, set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures and complete operations efficiently in accordance with job cards or technical instructions to achieve the required output levels.

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in Automotive / Aerospace / Defence / Power / Oil & Gas or similar manufacturing environment
    Manual Milling, Turning, CNC and/or Grinding experience
  • Experience of manufacturing, repairing and maintaining tooling - press tools, laser tools, hand tools etc
  • Benchwork skills - fettling / finishing / deburring / countersinking / grinding / cutting / sanding etc
  • Hands on approach - able to implement solutions to avoid recurring problems & confidence in supporting with production tooling issues
