What you will be doing

As a Mechanical engineering graduate, you will join an exciting team who work throughout the whole lifecycle, from concept through to activities with the operational fleet. As part of this team, you could be involved in designing, developing, and testing complex systems, components, and products, as well as supporting the build, test, commissioning, and in-service operation of all current, new, and future builds. Duties and Responsibilities

  • You will be supporting the design and development of Mechanical Systems, including Ventilation and Atmosphere Control (e.g., oxygen production and carbon dioxide removal), Domestic Systems (e.g., toilets and waste disposal).
  • You will also be involved in the design of Survival Systems (e.g., firefighting and emergency breathing systems) and Cooling Systems (e.g., chilled water plants and equipment cooling).
  • Supporting the design, development, and modeling of Propulsion Systems, including but not limited to: Steam and Feed Systems, Gearboxes, Steam Turbines and Heat Exchangers, Sea Water Cooling Systems.
  • Jig and Lifting Arrangement Design.
  • Stress Analysis (including classic calculation methods and Finite Element Analysis [FEA]). Skills

    As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant STEM subject, including Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive, or Structural Engineering. Opportunities for Growth and Development
