Role Title: DevOps Engineer
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Telford (Hybrid 1 to 2 days a month)
Rate: £520 via Umbrella

Role purpose / summary
Seeking a candidate with Python and web developer with DevOps experience; candidate must be from a development background with strong Object Oriental Programme (OPS) skills and who must have worked in python with frameworks like Flask/Django/FastAPI.
Jenkins (scripted and declarative pipelines) - candidate must have a very strong day-day user knowledge of Jenkins and a day-to-day experience of writing pipelines in Jenkins files. Candidate is required to work Client Side within the existing Architect and Environment Team, that has a mixture of Capgemini, Contractors, SREs and HMRC resources. Brief description of tasks to perform:
This role requires a professional who is well experienced and knowledgeable in cloud technology especially AWS and python. They must be innovative, competent, and comfortable in challenging status quo. Technical skills required:
The suitable candidate must be highly proficient in the use of:

  • Jenkins (scripted and declarative pipelines)
  • Python (2 and 3)
  • Python frameworks (Flask/Django)
  • Terraform (0.11 and 0.12)
  • AWS (most of AWS including ECS,EKS)
  • Ansible (2.2 upwards)
  • Linux tools
  • Artifactory
  • Swarm
  • Docker
  • Harshicorp vault
  • Groovy (for jenkinsfiles)
  • Custom ansible frameworks
  • Must have Programming experience (not just scripting), in addition to skills using above technologies
  • Object-Oriented programming, DDD, TDD, EDA and any extra skills would be desirable (but not mandatory)
