Hays Engineering are proud to be partnering with a leading Power Plant based in the Humberside, an area well known for extensive industry ranging from oil & gas, power generation and petrochemical sectors.

This client is renowned for being exceptionally efficient, with the added benefit of reliable assets. Due to re-organisation, exciting and rewarding opportunities in their team of Maintenance Technicians have arisen.
Your new role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for routine maintenance, projects and fault finding, in addition to engaging further technical resources as required. Working closely with the Planning Department, you will ensure accurate daily schedules to meet the demands of the business, providing proactive and extensive feedback on defect resolution.
Providing support during outages will be a critical part of your role, from defect identification, through to planning and successful implementation. Problem-solving and investigation into failures and deterioration mechanisms, will be a key part of your daily duties too.
You will produce Maintenance work packs which will include risk assessments and method statements, as well as participating in reliability studies, RCA's and HAZOP's for plant areas. Working in a hazardous environment you will promote and adhere to Site Safety rules, at all times.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be apprentice trained with a HNC in a relevant Engineering disciplineExperience within the generation sector will be a distinct advantageMechanical and Electrical biased are being consideredMaintenance and fault finding experience on HV and LV systems including testing and recommissioningExperienced in planning and scoping worksAbility to take responsibility for completing small projectsSelf-motivated and able to work with limited supervisionAptitude for further business and technical trainingOpen and supportive of changeAble to adapt to new situations and working methodsFlexible approach to applying your skills to meet business needsWhat you'll get in return
