We seek to appoint an outstanding Assistant Headteacher (Teaching & Learning) on a full-time permanent contract from September 2024. This is an incredibly important position within the school and the new postholder will join our committed Senior Leadership Team to help shape the vision and strategy of our school and drive forward school improvement. You will be working closely with the Deputy Headteacher (Curriculum) and reporting to the Headteacher.

ABOUT KINGSMEAD SCHOOL

Kingsmead is an oversubscribed 11-16 school with 926 students on roll, located 12 miles from the county town of Taunton in a small town called Wiveliscombe, close to Exmoor, the Quantocks and the Blackdown Hills, yet 20 minutes from the M5 with easy access to the vibrant cities of Bristol and Exeter. We are very proud of our students who are polite, enthusiastic and motivated to learn. 32% of students in 2023 achieved Grade 5 or above in English and Maths and 55% achieved Grade 4 or above.
