Harris Academy Chobham is looking for a Nursery Nurse to join our early years team, leading on EYFS in our wraparound provision.About Us

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading on wraparound provision in the Early Years – ordering catering, planning provision, liaising with parents and carers, liaising with Nursery managerBeing a key worker in the nursery provision and contribute to the teaching, planning, observations, and assessmentsEnsuring the classroom environment and provision is engaging, reflective of the needs and interests of the children and is continually changingEnsuring all Nursery students identified for support are given every opportunity to access the curriculumEncouraging the children's development, independence, self-reliance, initiative, and problem-solving skillsWorking with the teacher to ensure provision supports each identified child's learning and progressHighlighting individual children's learning needs to the class teacher and agree how they will be supported in each lessonBeing supportive and welcoming to parents, recognising the expert knowledge they have of their children and encouraging and valuing their involvementWorking alongside the teacher in evaluating identified children's progress through agreed assessment activitiesObserving identified children in lessons, providing teachers with feedback on participation and progressSupporting identified children to engage with the learning objectives set for the lessonAttending to the needs of sick or injured children, applying first aid as necessary, recording accidents, and caring for children who are unwellSupporting all children including those who are identified as having special developmental requirementsQualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have:

Qualifications to GCSE Level standard or equivalentQualifications to Level 3 in Childcare and EducationKnowledge of Microsoft softwareBasic knowledge of first aidWillingness to have First aid TrainingKnowledge of a range of learning barriers including special needsSome knowledge of some of the social issues facing students from disadvantaged background
