An experienced arboricultural professional with strong experience in urban environments, knowledgeable about tree legislation, and adept at using tree decay detection equipment. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to understand and engage with various stakeholders such as Council officers, Councillors, Developers, Community groups, and the Public. You have personal drive and initiative, eager to learn and improve. We are also looking for candidates interested in an Assistant role supporting an experienced arboriculture officer.

What the Job Involves
As an arboricultural professional, you will be joining a team of arboriculture officers responsible for managing and inspecting the Council’s tree stock. Your duties will include carrying out risk management, providing specialist advice, issuing works to Contractors and the In-house tree service, and managing financial, administrative, and contractual tasks. For the Assistant role, you will support the Arborist with fewer responsibilities and accountability, receiving guidance from an experienced officer. The pay for this position is approximately SO1 - £18.95 per hour. Please indicate the candidate level when submitting CVs.
