Salary: £54,793+ (Depending on skills and experience)
What you'll be doing:
- You will implementing data governance policies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability across the organisation, while proactively managing and improving data quality
- In this role you will oversee data from entry to disposal, ensuring compliance and safeguarding sensitive information through robust access controls and security measures
- You will also be defining and enforce data standards for consistency and facilitate seamless data integration across systems
- You must ensure adherence to data privacy regulations (GDPR) and manage data-related risks, including breaches and loss, through proactive strategies
- You will lead and develop a team of data stewards, fostering collaboration across departments to align data management with business objectives
- You will also have to drive continuous improvement in data management practices, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and alignment with strategic goals
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry
- Understanding data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance
- Proficiency in managing data-related projects, including planning, resource allocation, and timeline management for successful initiative delivery. Awareness of Data Management principles as well as Data Management & Data Quality toolsets
- Ability to assess, monitor, and improve data quality through processes like data profiling, cleansing, and standardisation
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with business users, IT teams, and executives to address data-related issues and align with organisational goals
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) to ensure data governance practices meet legal requirements.
- An Awareness of DAMA (Data Management professional body)
Desirable:
- Professional PM qualification or substantial practical experience in Project Management
