VGC Group are looking for experienced Plant and Vehicle Marshall to start on a project in Plymouth. This contract is available to start and we can offer up to 4 years+ to a successful candidate.

Plant and Vehicle Marshall experience

Your role as aPlant and Vehicle Marshall will be based in Plymouth and will consist of:

  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Direct and control the movement of vehicles entering and exiting the site.
  • Ensure that vehicles and pedestrians follow site safety rules and regulations.
  • Implement traffic management plans to minimize disruption and maximize safety.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Implement and enforce safety measures to protect site workers, visitors, and the public.
  • Use appropriate signage, barriers, and other tools to manage traffic flow safely.
  • Communicate clearly with drivers, site personnel, and pedestrians using hand signals, radios, or other communication devices.
  • Provide instructions and guidance to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
  • Act as a point of contact for any traffic-related queries or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of traffic movements, incidents, and safety checks.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is completed and filed as required.
  • Report any incidents, near-misses, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Based in Plymouth remuneration for this role is£16.41 Per Hour, you will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
