Location: Wheatley, Oxfordshire
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week
Pay: 85- 95 per day

Role Overview: TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist SEN school in Wheatley, Oxfordshire. This role involves supporting the class teacher in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for students with special educational needs (SEN) including learning difficulties, speech, language and communication, Autism, physical disabilities, severe learning difficulty and profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery.
  • Assist with medical administration and personal care as needed (full training provided).
  • Aid in compiling and maintaining student data.
  • Create and prepare materials to support lesson plans.
  • Support students in integrating with peers and participating in various activities.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities including trips, swimming, and horse riding.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young people and children.
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Physically fit and capable of supporting manual handling tasks.
  • Comfortable with swimming and able to assist pupils in the water.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children and supporting their development.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and training.
