The Role:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver on our night shift, you will be a crucial part of our transport team, ensuring that goods are delivered safely and efficiently during the hours of 18:00 - 04:00. You ll be responsible for long-haul and local deliveries, managing your time effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all safety and compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle, ensuring timely and secure delivery of goods.
  • Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Adhere to all road traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
  • Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any issues or delays.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of goods, securing loads to prevent damage or shifting during transit.

What We re Looking For:

  • A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
  • Up-to-date CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph card.
  • A clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts from 18:00 - 04:00.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
