Shorterm are currently looking to recruit a Structural Technician on behalf of their client to be based at their Teesside office.This is a full-time permanent position offering hybrid working options.Working on a variety of interesting projects encompassing Healthcare, Renewable Energy, Heritage, Commercial, Industrial and the hospitality buildings sectors.This is a great opportunity for an experienced Revit Technician to join a supportive and friendly team and to help develop and lead a team in the production of Revit Models and CAD drawings for all stages of design.The Role Summary:Working with an already established team of engineers and Revit/CAD technicians, you willProduce and supervise coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit; preparing engineering models & drawings from sketches and design informationUse BIM technologies?both in cloud and managed systems to prepare concise engineering drawings for key stages such as conception, planning, tender, building warrant and constructionKey Requirements and ResponsibilitiesGained an HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural EngineeringExperience in Building Structures as a TechnicianProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft OfficeExperience in the principles of ISO 19650, BIM templates, BEPs, and use of collaborative information management softwareExperience in working with digital platforms, particularly BIM360 and its collaborative modules (Not essential, training will be provided)Gained strong, practical experience of using Revit in a similar building structures focused role.Experience in large energy transmission and distribution projects would be an advantage, but experience in large energy projects and heavy industrial projects would also be considered an asset, as these skills are easily transferable to this sector.A full job description can be requested upon application
