We’re urgently hiring for ODP’s in the Midlands region, offering abundant opportunities for continuous employment. You will be working within the operating theatre and other surgical environments, you will assists in various aspects of surgical procedures and provide perioperative care under the supervision of surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.Role responsibilitiesPreoperative PreparationAssist in the preparation of the operating theatre, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and readily available.Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and draping as instructed by the surgical team.Ensure the availability and functionality of necessary equipment and instrumentation for specific procedures.Intraoperative AssistanceAssist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, handling specimens, and providing other necessary support.Monitor and maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure to minimize the risk of infection.Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide assistance as required.Postoperative CareAssist in transferring patients to the post-aesthesia care unit (PACU) or recovery area following surgery.Monitor patients’ vital signs and assist with postoperative assessments under the direction of the healthcare team.Provide comfort measures and support to patients during the immediate postoperative period.             Minimum requirementTwo references from a higher band within the past year.
