The Role

We are seeking a self-directed and motivated person to lead on business change projects designed to transform services and lead culture change, to help review and redesign processes and inform implementation of digital transformation to support children's services. The current area of focus is Children, Families and Schools change programme, however the post holder must be able to quickly adapt to new areas of work.

The role involves engaging directly with senior leaders across the organisation, providing business change consultancy and managing the delivery of projects. The role requires the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure work is delivered to schedule and against the overarching objectives of the council.

The role will review and redesign processes within children's services ensuring they are coproduced, from requirement gathering to implementation. It will help facilitate developments in the Council's social care system, Azeuscare. The ability to produce and maintain project documentation, coordinate multiple work streams and manage a team are fundamental to the role. 

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, creative and has experience of successful delivery of transformation and change work, whilst also focused on supporting and developing other members of the team to be their best.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex business change projects, typically implementing business and digital solutions and to enhance service delivery, reduce costs and/or generate income.
  • Develop project plans for business change projects that communicate tasks, milestone dates, status and resource allocation with experience of managing a development lifecycle, from review to implementation 
  • Engaging with stakeholders in appropriate and effective ways to ensure business buy in and successful outcomes
  • Understanding of existing technologies and new emerging technologies 
  • Experience of working with social care systems (preferably Azeuscare)
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
