The Green Recruitment Company is excited to be partnering with a leading global advisory business that builds on 90 years of experience. The business is investing significantly in renewable energy in the UK and looking for a Control Systems Engineer to join their rapidly expanding UK offices. The position will play a critical role in designing, analyzing and optimizing electrical power systems across a variety of power generation, transmission and distribution projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conceptualize, design, and deliver control systems solutions for complex power projects.

  • Conduct detailed analyses of power systems and associated control systems.

  • Develop and implement advanced control algorithms to enhance the performance and reliability of power systems.

  • Undertake system integration tasks, interfacing control systems with various hardware and software components, such as PLCs, SCADA systems, and remote monitoring solutions.

  • Perform simulation and testing of control strategies using industry-standard software tools, verifying system performance under various operating conditions and disturbances.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing control systems for power generation, transmission and distribution projects.

  • Strong proficiency in control system design, simulation, and optimization using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Digsilent PowerFactory or similar software.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to power systems and control systems engineering (e.g., IEC 61850, IEEE standards).
