Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) - Full Time

A friendly and enthusiastic RVN is sought to join a busy team comprising 14 vets, 17 RVNs, 4 SVNs, 3 VCAs, and a hydrotherapist in a well-established privately owned small animal practice in Hertfordshire.

Role Description: This full-time position offers a 1 in 9 out-of-hours (OOH) rota with good time off in lieu. The role involves hands-on patient care, with a broad range of cases in a hospital and training practice setting. Clinic facilities include separate hospital and medical wards, a theatre suite, dental suite, digital x-ray, in-house laboratory, ultrasound, endoscopy, and hydrotherapy treadmill.

Overview:

  • Working Hours: Average of 40 hours per week over a 9-week rolling rota, with approximately one night shift per week.
  • Salary: Dependent on experience, starting from 30,000 per annum.
  • Benefits: 1/2 price veterinary treatment, paid RCVS fees, BVNA membership, auto-enrolment into a pension (3%), and a 750 CPD allowance annually.

Main Purpose & Goals: Provide exceptional patient care within a busy practice environment, participate in the OOH rota, and contribute to ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities: Undertake hands-on patient care, participate in the OOH rota, and contribute to the ongoing success of the practice. Encourage and engage in continuous professional development, with CPD opportunities provided.

  • RVN qualification.
