Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for a Regional Account Manager (Northern Region) to join our team. This role will be responsible for our northern region, in particular Barnsley and Liverpool.

You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, working Monday- Friday, 42.5 hours a week and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of £46,000.00 per annum dependant on skills and experience.

The Regional Account Manager role:

This is a fantastic role for an experienced sales professional Your role will be to identify and generate new sales for STEF Langdons Services. Maximise the potential of existing client relationships through customer focused account management.

Whether it’s fresh consignments or frozen goods we have it covered Langdons can deliver to almost any location in the UK or Ireland within 24 hours. We have 9 depots and over 375 vehicles carrying chilled and frozen food all over the country. We’re the only company providing a 24-hour service of this kind, and we’re very good at it.

What you’ll be doing as our Regional Account Manager?

Key

Responsibilities:

Direct Sales:
Identifying potential customers and maximising existing relationships to support the development of new business Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales. Gathering market research to support the development of business opportunities Advising on forthcoming product developments, and discussing special promotions Identify customer requirements, for company benefit, presenting appropriately to generate sales Recording sales pipeline through company specific database.
Customer Relations/Account Management:
Company point of contact for existing and potential markets Implement a regular Business Review Process with each customer Maintain and develop customer relationship through provision of KPI Review, identify and renegotiate commercial agreement for company benefit. Identify, resolve and manage disputes, and claims, through customer and company relations Working collaboratively with internal departments to maintain customer relationships Responsible for ensuring customer compliance to company SOP’s and T’s &C’s Recording results of Account Management through company specific database.
Price Quotation:
Aware of existing and company standard sales tariffs in relation customers work profile Aware of market/industry sector related, comparable commercial pricing Aware of cost to serve, through wider review within the operation, to enable a profitable, best offer Aware of the need to include a wider, decision-making group, in relation to price quotation Renegotiate commercial agreements where necessary Apply additional charges, where necessary, in line with the needs of the business Record customer, commercial agreements through company specific database.
Communication:
Aware of processes and equipment used to communicate with customers and colleagues Competent in the knowledge and ability to operate all communication equipment necessary for the role Responsible for the reciprocal communication between client and company, at all levels Affective in achieving company expectations in relation to communication processes and timescales.
General

Responsibilities:

Promote company values and code of conduct in all that you do and to others you come into contact with Adhere to company rules, policies, procedures consistently and encourage others to do the same Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation impacting on your role where required Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and ensure that confidentiality is applied where appropriate Be flexible as required in accordance with the needs of the business.
What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Regional Account Manager ?
Qualified to Level 4 in Marketing Executive or equivalent experience in working with staff at all levels and working in a team-based office environment in a customer-facing and/or sales focused role IT literate in Microsoft Office packages and have the ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data.

Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a wide and dispersed team Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines Proven verbal and written communication skills Proven arithmetic skills High attention to detail and confident to challenge discrepancies where necessary in the right manner and on a timely basis Ability to act with sensitivity and influence others to take a particular course of action.
