Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate young minds? GSL Education s North Yorkshire branch are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team immediately on a full-time basis, until the end of the academic year.

Teacher of Science Role Overview:

As a Teacher of Science, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic progress, fostering a love for science, and preparing them for their future educational and career paths.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Key Stage 3 and GCSE science lessons that cater to the needs and abilities of all students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school meetings, contributing to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices.
  • Support students' social and emotional development, promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.

Teacher of Science Minimum Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science, with the ability to teach across all three sciences at KS3 and a specialism at GCSE.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Ability to start immediately and commit to the role until the end of the academic year.
