Head of Revenue: The Role:
The Head of Revenue will have responsibility for developing a strategy to deliver the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the newly opened 'Pub with Rooms' sites, as well as the wider pub and restaurant business.
This role would involve developing a rate strategy for yield management and supporting the wider development of the team to deliver this.
As our estate expands we would intend to develop a central reservations team for dealing with enquiries and to pro-actively sell our rooms, private dining rooms and packages. This is likely to extend into reservations support for Heartwood Inns and Brasserie Blanc generally, the Head of Revenue would have responsibility for driving a central reservations team.
The role will be based at our Head Office in Teddington, Middlesex conveniently located right next to the station
Hear of Revenue: Key Areas of Responsibility
Analyse daily, weekly and monthly pick-up reports and market trends from market segments, source of business, room type, point of sale to ensure constant optimisation of the pricing strategy for each site.Develop and deliver strategic plans to grow revenue and deliver against the groups KPIs (e.g. RevPar or direct booking percentage).Produce forecasts for room revenue on a daily, weekly and periodic basis.Identify and report on actions taken with regards to important trends (i.e. pace, group pace, booking window, booking channel, etc).Oversee channel management including rate loading and inventory management.Monitor competitors' products and revenue management practices. Also, monitor new hotel development and local market demand generators.Work to minimise usage of OTAs by developing a direct booking strategy alongside our Marketing Team.Develop a central reservations function to pro-actively sell rooms and take pub and restaurant bookings.Work closely with our Marketing Team to develop sales opportunities such as experiences, packages and delegate rates and to integrate with our CRM platformHead of Revenue: The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years' experience in a senior revenue management position or a related area in a multi-site hospitality business. An ability to analyse complex data sets, identify trends, and draw actionable insights to drive revenue growth.A strong working understanding of typical rooms led Property Management Systems (PMS), Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and booking engines.Experience of 'Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)' for rooms as well as 'Pay Per Click (PPC)' advertising campaigns to drive rooms bookings.A strong working knowledge of OTA Insights to track competitor rates and local demand as well as pipeline openings within given markets.A natural leader that is capable of mentoring General Managers and other team members.Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to develop group wide processes.Great planning ability and able to work under pressure.Advanced analytical skills (including Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).Head of Revenue: What's in it for you:
