Ryder Reid Legal are working with a highly acclaimed US law firm to recruit a Senior Professional Development & Training Manager, based within their London office. The successful candidate will work with the Chief Professional Development Officer and will work collaboratively with the Corporate Training Team and the Career Development Team located in the US. The Senior Professional Development & Training Manager will primarily focus on the execution of interactive training programs, workshops and resources designed to engage and develop the firm's London attorneys. Key responsibilities for the Professional Development Manager will include: Training ProgramsDevelop and execute in-house training programs and workshops for London attorneys (including both in-person and remote sessions)Oversee team's process including day-to-day logistics, timelines and training materialsCollaborate with designated training partners in each London practice group to ensure all partners, counsel and associates are fully supported and aware of training offerings/resourcesManage general trainings that apply across all Corporate practice groups (including first- and second-year training sessions). Conferences & CoachingManage London's participation at firm-wide conferences throughout yearCollaborate with internal Career Development team and London's partnership to develop office specific conference seriesCollaborate with internal Career Development team to offer coaching services specific to the needs of the London Office Communication & IntegrationOversee internal communications regarding substantive training offerings and resources, conference schedule and individual attorney participation, coaching opportunitiesAssist with on-boarding lateral London associates related to training and coaching needsAssist in maintaining internal training database for London office to optimize user experienceand ensure regulatory complianceInitiate or assist in technology adoption initiatives in support of other dutiesComplianceOversee CPD documents and stay current with L&D and SRA Continuing Competence requirementsCollaborate with CLE Compliance team in NY office Collaboration Across Departments & OfficesCollaborate with various departments and firm committees throughout the firm, including: Inclusion, Legal Personnel, Business Development and Alumni Relations to develop and assist initiatives; IT, graphic design and audio/visual professionals to deliver programming that is engaging and efficient to onsite and remote employees; Events to ensure flawless program execution. The ideal candidate for the Senior Professional Development & Training Manager role will have solid talent development experience from preferably a US, International or US law firm. Prior experience as a practising lawyer is a plus. You will have demonstrated success establishing, developing, and managing robust career development functions and an expert understanding of best practices in professional development and career development. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and a passion for driving change and delivering innovative solutions.
