King Edward VI School Lichfield is seeking a dynamic, well-qualified teacher with a high level of subject knowledge and a real passion for their subject. We expect the successful candidate to work as part of a strong team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life including support for extra-curricular clubs, festivals and performances. The post is suitable for a current classroom teacher or for an Early Career Teacher.

Drama is highly successful at our school, with all students having weekly Drama lessons throughout Key Stage 3. Drama is popular with our students; we have a strong track record of success at Key Stage 4 and post-16. In 2023, BTEC Performing Arts students at both key stages achieved 100% Distinction*–Merit grades.

We are looking for a teacher with infectious enthusiasm and excellent communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents. Extra-curricular opportunities are a key part of school life, and the successful candidate will play a key role in providing opportunities for students beyond the classroom.

King Edward VI School is a popular 11–18 comprehensive school rated Good by OfSTED in 2022 with recognition of outstanding practice and a highly positive ethos. The school is well-regarded within the community and has a reputation for high-quality teaching. Lichfield is a small, vibrant cathedral city which is easily accessible from the surrounding areas.
