As the Head of Architecture and Data, you will be the driving force behind our architectural vision, playing a pivotal role in shaping our technological landscape. You will provide strategic direction for all architectural initiatives, overseeing the design and documentation of scalable solutions, and ensuring alignment with our business objectives.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to project roadmaps, evaluate emerging technologies, and foster a culture of innovation within your team. Your leadership will extend to enforcing architectural governance processes, mitigating risks, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Your role

As the Head of Architecture and Data, you will define and implement the organisation's architecture and data strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals. You will lead the design of scalable and sustainable technology solutions, ensuring robust and adaptable infrastructure.

Collaboration with key stakeholders is essential to meet technical and business needs, fostering strong relationships and driving cohesive progress. You will oversee data governance and management, ensuring data integrity and compliance, and lead the design of data architecture and analytics infrastructure.

You will evaluate and select technology standards, ensuring resilience and compliance through enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Your mentorship will promote best practices and continuous improvement within the team.

Quality assurance will be a key responsibility, reviewing and approving major architecture designs to maintain strategic alignment. Innovation will be central as you investigate new technologies and conduct proof-of-concept projects.

As an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will collaborate across the charity, driving strategic initiatives and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

About you

Expertise in cloud platforms, microservice and SOA architectures, APIs, mobile and web development, data layer design, and analytics platforms.
Experience as a technical leader with detailed knowledge of relevant technology and technical trends.
Proven ability to make architecture decisions and drive them through implementation at the product family and product level.
Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, data modeling techniques, and data integration patterns.
Proficiency in data modeling tools and languages.
