ARM are delighted to be supporting on of our clients with the recruitment of a Procurement Manager on a 6 month basis.
This role is an exciting opportunity to lead on the procurement activities required to deliver a range of capital projects and deliver value for money for the business.
The Role:
Negotiate, deliver and communicate contract and framework agreements which deliver efficiencies in line with financial reporting and forecasting systems.
Manage contract negotiations, including the formulation of negotiation parameters, analysis and interpretation of data.
Identify, forecast, evaluate, monitor and record savings achieved against budgets.
Improve the efficiency and reduce costs of the procurement process by participating in the re-engineering of business processes/ procedures.
Approve and implement procurement strategies.
Lead or contribute to the development of departmental business plans and projects, and process improvement workstreams.
Requirements:
Experience managing end to end procurements, and in particular construction, capital projects and/or maintenance related procurement.
Experience in developing commercial / procurement strategies and the front-end activities required to support these such as market engagement
Experience in preparing, reviewing and agreeing contract terms and conditions and contract schedules.
Proven experience in a procurement function involved in high risk, high value, complex works and services.
Experience using the New Engineering Contract (NEC) suite.
Experience in commercial negotiations.
