87 - 105 daily rate

Are you dedicated to work in education?

Are you passionate about supporting SEN students?

Tempest Education are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work at one of our partner primary schools in Croydon Your role will be providing support to a variety of children in KS1/2 on a 1:1, 1:2 and small group basis who are diagnosed with Autism and additional learning needs.

To thrive as a Learning Support Assistant, you need to have:

  • A genuine passion for supporting students with higher needs.
  • Previous experience working with SEN children.
  • Have a natural enthusiasm for working with children.
  • The ability to monitor and record a child's progress.
  • An understanding of safeguarding children.
  • A positive, caring, energetic, can-do attitude.

Duties include (but aren't limited to):

  • 1:1 support with a child or small groups of children.
  • Supporting the class as well as assisting the class teacher as and when needed.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with parents.
  • Supervising children during activities
  • Managing challenging behaviour
  • Ensuring children are motivated to learn
