Research Trial Co-ordinator: The Oxford Psychological Interventions in Childhood and adolescence

We are looking to appoint a research trial coordinator to work within the TOPIC (The Oxford Psychological Interventions in Childhood and adolescence) research group on a large child and adolescent mental health service-based treatment trial for anxiety disorders among autistic children aged 5-12 years, funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR). The post is based in the Department of Experimental Psychology, University of Oxford.

The post is for a fixed term (2 years from 1st September 2024).

You will work closely with investigators, NHS/local authority child and adolescent mental health services (and third section organisations that provide services on behalf of the NHS/LAs), our partner tech company and parents/ children with relevant lived experience to support the successful delivery of the trial. You will support all aspects of trial development and delivery, including supporting regulatory approval processes, supporting the successful delivery of the online intervention, supporting recruitment and retention of study participants, and managing the online study databases.   

You will have a degree (2:1 or above) in psychology or related field, together with some relevant experience. With excellent organisation skills you will have the proven ability to meet deadlines and to execute a project to completion at a high level.   

You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to engage families, and also develop strong working relationships with professionals in busy clinical services. Experience/knowledge of child anxiety measures and interventions and of autism would be desirable.

£32,332 to £38,205 per annum. Grade 6
