We have an exciting new opportunity at Willowbrook Hospice in Prescot – an Independent Charity which operates a Specialist Palliative Care Unit for patients across Knowsley and St Helens – for someone to join our Senior Leadership Team as we look to recruit a new Head of Estates and Facilities. This is a key role in the 8 person-strong Senior Leadership Team, responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of the hospice estate, retail units and all patient-facing services. You will have full responsibility for key teams providing crucial services across Willowbrook, covering:
· Maintenance
· Catering
· Housekeeping
· Gardening
Role Description
This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, mainly working Monday to Friday. Although the role is both strategic and operational, it includes being responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all Willowbrook buildings and facilities, managing patient facing services in the Hospice building, managing budgets, line managing teams and handling procurement activities on a day-to-day basis. The post holder will develop a plan of work that continues to improve and enhance our patient services and facilities whilst ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and other relevant standards and best practice.
Required Qualifications
Facility Management (FM) and Procurement skills and experience Analytical Skills and Budgeting expertise successful Line Management experience Strong understanding of healthcare facilities management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety (NEBOSH) Knowledge of health and safety regulations
