We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Head of Art to further strengthen the achievement and progress of the Art Department. The successful applicant will lead a flourishing, supportive, and innovative team.

The Head of Art is line managed by the Director of Co-Curricular and has responsibility for the delivery of Art throughout the whole School, the day-to-day management of the Art Department, and line managing all Art/Textile teachers, along with promoting the school’s aims and policies.

The successful applicant will have a good honours degree or equivalent and a recognised teaching qualification. Experience of teaching a variety of different specialisms in Art and the ability to teach Fine Art to GCSE level is essential. Evidence of continued CPD is desirable.

It is an exciting time to be joining Ballard, with a Leadership Team moving the School forward with confidence. The School places great emphasis on supporting and developing its staff so that the best possible educational provision is provided throughout the three pillars of the School: Pastoral, Academic and Co-Curricular. We are already seeing excellent results, including a record set of GCSE grades last Summer. Furthermore, we are experiencing an increase in enquiries from prospective parents across all age groups, with waiting lists now in many year groups.
