âSite Supervisor (Substations) â Berkshire

TGRC is actively seeking a skilled Site Supervisor to oversee substations projects in the dynamic region of Berkshire. This 12-month contract offers a day rate of £375 and is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a solid background in transmission and distribution projects. If you are looking to leverage your expertise in substations and contribute to significant energy distribution projects, this role is for you.

About the Role

As a Site Supervisor at our substations in Berkshire, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring project timelines and safety standards are met. You will work closely with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that all aspects of the substation's construction and maintenance are executed efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Supervise and coordinate all site activities, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

  • Safety Oversight: Implement and monitor strict health and safety protocols on-site, conducting regular safety audits and ensuring all personnel adhere to safety guidelines.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of technical staff, fostering a collaborative work environment and ensuring staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.

  • Project Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, resources, and issues, providing regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.

  • Problem Resolution: Quickly address and resolve any technical or logistical issues that arise on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to project schedules.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience supervising substations or related transmission and distribution projects.

  • Education: Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Certifications: Must possess all relevant Health & Safety (H&S) tickets.

  • Skills: Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage complex site operations effectively.
