What will you be doing?

Due to the expansion of our team, an opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Technician to join our team. Your role will be to work in our dedicated laboratories across three work areas: plant tissue culture, molecular biology and phytopathology. This role provides a rare opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary environment and develop a broad portfolio of scientific skills.

What we are looking for

Ideally a degree at any level in biology, or experience within a laboratory environment is advantageous.  We are looking for someone with the right attitude and willingness to get stuck in, and someone with an interest in plants and the environment.

Essential skills:

  • Ability to follow laboratory protocols and learn new methodologies
  • Accurate record keeping and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation and IT skills
  • Self-motivated and reliable
  • Strong communication skills both written and spoken
