REED Recruitment (Accountancy and Finance) are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant with all-round bookkeeping experience to join our Clients Finance Department. This role is ideal for someone who is meticulous, has strong IT skills, and thrives in managing various financial tasks to support the organisation's financial health.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Sales Ledger:
    • Process client invoices and periodic internal and external recharges.
    • Handle sales receipts and undertake periodic credit control.
  • Purchase Ledger:
    • Process supplier invoices, staff expense claims, and credit card transactions.
    • Manage regular payments and share responsibility for weekly BACS payments.
  • Nominal Ledger:
    • Record daily and monthly journals for Cash Book entries.
  • Balance Sheet:
    • Conduct bank reconciliations and manage control account, suspense, and intercompany reconciliations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Finance Assistant role.
  • Strong IT skills with at least intermediate proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A high level of accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
  • A team player with good problem-solving abilities.
