Role Overview

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for implementing the Strategic Quality Plan in collaboration with site leadership. This role provides essential quality assurance support to customers, suppliers, partners, and internal manufacturing teams while actively participating in continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer Job in Canterbury:

* Perform and maintain detailed records of Inspection Plans, ISIRs, and FAIRs.

* Develop measurement policies aimed at reducing scrap in the machine shop.

* Participate in product design reviews to enhance production repeatability and reliability.

* Conduct capability studies and gage R&R as required.

* Perform internal audits to AS9100 standards.

Skills and Experience for the Quality Engineer Job in Canterbury:

* CMM and Optical Measurement Systems: Experience with Coordinate Measurement Machines and optical measurement systems.

* Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; proficient use of basic metrology tools in both imperial and metric systems.
