Library Digital Advisor

The opportunity
Join our friendly team as a Library Digital Advisor at University of the Arts London (UAL) on a six-month fixed term contract.
In this role, you will provide high quality customer-focused digital library services, supporting a vibrant community of learners, educators, and researchers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting users both in-person and online with their queries
- Managing library resources and equipment, offering first-line technical support, and guiding users in digital literacy
- Designing and delivering workshops, inductions, and creating digital learning materials
- Collaborating with technical teams to maintain and enhance digital library resources
- Contributing to library projects, representing the department in meetings, and sharing best practices
The term-time working pattern is Monday to Friday 10:15am to 6:00pm. During vacation, hours will generally be 09:00am to 5:00pm or 10:15am to 6:15pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
UAL Library Services operates a hybrid working pattern, with some working from home where operational needs allow.
About you
We are seeking a candidate with a degree-level qualification and/or relevant digital skills, with experience in a library or digital education setting.
You will possess:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to make users feel welcome
- Some knowledge of information management
- An interest in digital technologies, especially in art and design contexts
