The Role:
As our Finance Assistant, you’ll be the backbone of our Finance team, ensuring smooth operations across the organisation. Your main focus will be on managing purchase invoices/orders and maintaining the cash book, while also supporting the team with continuous improvements and process refinements.
Key Accountabilities:
Support the Finance Team: Assist in daily operations to ensure efficiencyManage Purchase Ledger: Oversee purchase invoices/orders and prepare payment recommendationsMaintain Cash Book: Keep the cash book updated and provide regular cash position updatesHandle Financial Processes: Process cheques, manage finance emails, and administer the vehicle register (insurance, MOT, tax)
Person Specification:
We are seeking someone with proficiency with purchase ledger in a multi-functional finance team, coupled with experience using finance software and Excel. Demonstrated ability to identify and pro-actively address invoicing issues.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detailExcellent communication skills for effective collaboration across diverse teamsProven ability to work collaboratively, contributing to finance team goalsCommitment to continuous improvement and process enhancementAbility to support overall business objectives by delivering timely financial information for decision-making
