This is a dynamic 12-month contract position, offering a generous day rate of £500, perfect for an ambitious professional passionate about making a significant impact in the renewable sector.

About the Role:

As the HVDC Project Manager, you will be at the helm of planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Your role will be pivotal in overseeing the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) technology aspects of our utility-scale projects, ensuring efficient and innovative integration of renewable energy sources into the national grid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of project aspects, focusing on HVDC technology and integration.

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, specifically with HVDC projects in the renewable energy sector.

  • Ability to lead projects from conception to completion, managing both the big picture and the fine details.

  • Exceptional communication, team management, and strategic planning skills.

  • Strong familiarity with project management software and tools.

  • A degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
