European Bank Capital Regulatory Reporting Production Accountant - VP I

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of European Bank Capital Regulatory Reporting Production Accountant to join our Finance Professional Services Centre team. This role is located in Manchester.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Reporting – Be a key player in the delivery of high-quality COREP production for the European Bank, including delivery within prescribed regulatory deadlines. Review of the daily / monthly Capital and Leverage ratios for the European Bank and other capital reporting for internal and external recipients.
Stakeholder management – Develop close relationships with European Bank Market Centre report owner and other business areas particularly Regulatory Change and Controllers.
Acting as an SME within the Capital team through carrying out an effective review of the production and through being the key contact and SME for capital reporting.
Oversight & Controls – Ensure all reports are produced in a strong operational control environment with well-evidenced reviews, checklists, variance analysis, reconciliations and procedures. Reporting analytics and MI in a timely fashion, ensuring that you meet reporting deadlines and quality expectations.
Knowledge – Stay abreast of legislative, accounting and regulatory developments, as well as knowledge of external reporting requirements and procedures.
Assurance – Key involvement with internal and external assurance activities, provide deliverable requests, walkthroughs and respond to queries within a timely manner.
Change – Assist with the provision of regulatory support for relevant projects including new regulatory reporting production requirements and regulatory system improvements, new business and product launches. Perform other functions as required from time-to-time.
Other – Ensure the operational process are optimised to drive efficient, effective and risk managed outputs.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Qualified Accountant with ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA Full Accreditation or equivalent preferred with a number of years total experience.
- Regulatory Reporting experience essential, including regulatory and accounting systems and processes, COREP experience highly desirable.
- Organized and structured working methodology, attention to detail and highly motivated.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including communication, planning and escalation.
- Experience of a fast moving, deadline oriented, highly controlled, multi-national / functional organization.
