Haringey, United Kingdom Tradewind Recruitment Full time

Are you an experienced Primary Teacher looking for a part time PPA teacher role in Haringey? Or are you a confident teacher with a passion for teaching children with SEMH?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Teacher to join this supportive primary PRU as a SEMH teacher. This is a part time role (2-3 days/week) starting in September 2024 for the full academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent.

The School:

The school supports children from Haringey primary schools with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs who have been permanently excluded, allocated a place through SEN consultation or via the Securing Education Board on a short-term placement. A high number of pupils here also have an additional diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD. Class sizes are therefore smaller with up to six pupils per class and there is a high staff-to-pupil ratio so that children are given the correct support when needed across the school day.

  • Planning and assessing KS1 and 2 pupils with SEMH
  • Working with the TAs and mentors to put in place and run interventions.
  • Support and implement the schools behaviour policy
  • Updating and setting targets for children
