Working in partnership with the Diocese of Menevia and Pembrokeshire County Council, the governing body of this new federation of Catholic primary schools is looking to appoint an outstanding leader as executive headteacher. The successful candidate will be expected to continue the successful Catholic learning in both schools and to divide his/her time between the two sites.

The Schools:

Mary Immaculate Catholic Primary (NOR 202) is situated in the lively county town of Haverfordwest and has a “wonderfully caring and nurturing ethos” (ESTYN March 2023). St. Teilo’s Catholic Primary (NOR 81) is situated in the picturesque seaside town of Tenby and has a “clear vision and values every pupil as an individual” (ESTYN 2018).

The Governors Are Looking To Recruit Someone Who Has:

A personal commitment to Catholic education and to the spiritual development of the pupils,

A clear vision for educational excellence and a passion for improving pupils’ outcomes,

An innovative, strategic vision for school effectiveness, inclusion and wellbeing; and the influence of these on pupil outcomes

An excellent communicator who can engage effectively with children, parents, staff and governors.

The ability to build on existing relationships and develop new ones within the schools, diocese, local authority and wider parish communities,

The ability to identify strengths and weaknesses, using them to further develop the potential of pupils and staff.

The ability to inspire, motivate and enthuse both pupils and staff,

High expectations to ensure that pupils are motivated, inspired and challenged to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will be expected to sign the Catholic Education Service contract of employment.
