Recruitment performance is a highly scrutinised service with regards to quality as well as delivery outcomes so an interest in this person centred service will be of benefit coupled with the desire to understand the business and associated planning objectives to ensure Hywel Dda is an inclusive employer of choice.

You will need to be a diligent, confident efficient user of various Microsoft packages as well as various NHS systems (for which training can be provided) within this paperless people function. This will ensure you will be able to support your teams and the wider health board in delivering pragmatic yet safe recruitment solutions which are compliant with legislation relating to employment, Equality, diversity and inclusion as well as immigration. 

Main duties of the job

You will support the Head of Recruitment and Workforce Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the delivery and continuous improvement of the recruitment service within the Health Board. This will include (but is not limited to):

Delivery of the strategic objectives and identifying opportunities for improvements

Provide expert and consistent advice on all recruitment matters underpinned by sound knowledge and the principles of good practice

Ensuring maximum efficiency within the recruitment pathway

Ensuring recruitment practices are in line with relevant legislation

Delivering recruitment training and support to key stakeholders

Being a point of contact for operational colleagues, recruitment colleagues and potential and successful applicants

Supporting each recruitment team lead to deliver the best possible candidate journey whilst also providing good quality advice and support for appointing managers

Providing support and guidance for each team lead around the day-to-day management of their respective teams, ensuring that Health Board policies and guidance are adhered to at all times

Providing comprehensive reports including statistical information for internal and external use

Undertaking recruitment audits to ensure continuous improvements

Developing bespoke processes and pathways to support initiatives

Participating and supporting interviews and recruitment events

Maintain an up to date knowledge of recruitment legislation
