About the role:

We are currently seeking a Senior Catering Assistant to join The Bedford College Group at our Wellingborough Campus in Northamptonshire.

As a Senior Catering Assistant, you will provide support and assistance to customers and other members of staff.

You will assist in the maintenance of the kitchen and Restaurant facilities and ensure serviceability and security of tools and equipment, and ensure Health and Safety requirements are met, as well as presenting a professional image to all customers, along with presenting and serving food to an agreed standard.

About you:

  • Ideal candidates will have:
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent
  • Knowledge of collecting monies through a cash register & PDQ machine
  • Experience in customer care
  • Allergen training
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures in catering environment
  • Knowledge of food preparation and cooking skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Access to own transport, with the ability to travel to events and various sites.
  • Able to perform lifting tasks on a frequent basis, e.g. lifting catering provisions

BCS is A multi-faceted enterprise that operates across the leisure, hospitality, catering, theatre and facilities hire sectors.
