Crowthorne, United Kingdom Edgbarrow School Part time

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our outstanding Science department from September 2024. The successful candidate will join an innovative, forward-thinking team of teachers, who are passionate about engaging and inspiring young people in their learning and committed to raising standards of attainment. A required part of this post will be the ability to teach Science across the whole ability range, including A Level.

Edgbarrow School believes in setting the highest standards in all areas of school life and we are looking for a purposeful and committed individual who wants to join and enhance our strong team. We offer an excellent induction programme, promotion prospects and a highly supportive working environment. The Teacher of Science role would also qualify in the admissions process for your child to attend Edgbarrow if you live out of catchment. This would come into operation after 2 years of service.

Edgbarrow is located in the village of Crowthorne, Berkshire which is located approximately 3 miles from Wokingham and Camberley and 12 miles from Reading. It enjoys excellent links to surrounding villages, towns and cities via the M3, M4, A329M and local rail networks. It is a thriving, vibrant and high-achieving secondary school where students are polite, happy, well behaved and motivated. It was recently judged by Ofsted as outstanding.

If you are interested in joining Edgbarrow School and you have the skills and the qualities required for this post, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please note that all applications will be considered upon receipt, therefore an early reply is recommended. We reserve the right to close the advert early should the right candidate apply.

Employment is with Corvus Learning Trust and not Bracknell Forest Council. The trust is very popular and for most posts a large number of applications are received - it is thus not possible to notify all applicants of the outcome. Please accept that if you have not heard within three weeks of the closing date then, unfortunately, your application has been unsuccessful - in which case we offer our best wishes for the future.

To apply for this post please complete the online application form via TES.

Closing Date: Friday 28 June 2024
