We are seeking a teacher for a unique role that will include teaching of both biology and PE (physical education) at key stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective biology & PE lessons to students in key stages 3 and 4
  • Develop and implement curricula that meet educational standards and foster a love for biology, PE and wider sciences.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and instructional resources to accommodate different learning styles within biology & PE.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress in biology, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to enhance the educational experience.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and methodologies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, results, and other required documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, PE or an appropriate related field
  • Teaching certification or relevant qualifications and experience
  • Proven experience teaching biology at key stage 3 and 4
  • Strong understanding of biology & PE concepts and the ability to convey them effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and a genuine interest in the success and development of students.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Experience of working within an alternative provision would be advantageous
