The Role
Kingston Business School is investing in its Real Estate team and is seeking an experienced lecturer who can showcase innovative and inclusive teaching on its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. You will deliver and assess a range of modules on the real estate programmes across the topics of land use and planning, investment, valuation and appraisal, asset management or landlord and agency. Experience of designing and delivering APC courses would also be beneficial.

You will join a department that promotes industry-focused and practice-based learning. You will be an influential member of a dynamic group of academics and you will have the opportunity to help develop the team’s footprint in either research or knowledge exchange. Through your pursuit of opportunities that enhance the faculty’s reputation in higher education and occupational circles, you’ll integrate academia with a professional perspective.

The Person
You’ll have, or be near completion of, a PhD and have relevant professional experience in the Real Estate field. You will have MRICS status or have experience of teaching on a RICS accredited programme. You’ll demonstrate the potential to publish in quality journals, attract externally-funded research, or engage in knowledge transfer partnerships. You will bring a strong track record of excellent teaching or hold a recognised teaching or learning qualification. If you haven’t already achieved the relevant level of UKPSF recognition, we’ll need you to do so before the end of your probation period.

Further Information
This is a one-year fixed-term contract with a starting salary of £43,187 per annum.
