Job Title: Production Operative

Reporting to: Production Supervisor

Department: Operations

Business Unit/ Organisation: Fibercill/Dudley

Pay: Hourly rate depends on experience, and will be discussed at interview stage.

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of the role is to safely produce high quality MDF Mouldings o the agreed specification. Continuous improvement is an important part of our site s culture, you will have the opportunity to propose or contribute to initiatives and projects that improve our operations. Experience in Woodworking manufacturing would be an advantage.

Main responsibilities

  • Setting up and operate CNC machine line.

  • Assist Operations and Engineering with fault finding.

  • Carry out tool changes.

  • Understand Lean manufacturing 5s, Kaizen etc.

  • Look at improvements in machining area supporting line leader and Supervisor in driving continuous improvement.

  • Understand Tier reporting hourly counts, targets, and issues/action improvements.

  • Provide hands on and be proactive in the continual improvement of machining activities and performance,

  • Understanding of quality tolerances from controlled drawings

Qualifications & experience

  • Be able to demonstrate experience in a similar Manufacturing Environment.
